Trying to decide which oil you want to start using on your hair and scalp next?Oils are super important for our hair care regime, keeping our tresses moisturised and locking in moisture while we LOC (Leave-in, Oil, Cream) or LCO (Leave-in, Cream, Oil). There are so many to choose from so here we've picked a few popular oils and what hair type suit which oils. All oils are also great when added to your deep conditioners for that extra goodness.
HAIR GROWTH
Castor oil is a thick oil which is rich in Vitamin E and carries anti-fungal properties. Aiding in hair growth. Lavender and Peppermint Oils can also aid in hair growth by invigorating the scalp increasing blood circulation. Giving yourself a good scalp massage every wash day will help with hair growth. As it is thick, it is great for thicker hair types but also great for thinner hair types when mixed with a thiner oil like Grapeseed or Jojoba Oil.
LIGHTER OILS
Grapeseed oil is a very lightweight oil and is best used as a carrier oil for thicker hair types or on its own for relaxed and thinner hair types. It helps prevent frizz, split ends and helps lock in moisture.
FRIZZ FREE
Argon Oil is great for hair that is prone to frizz. It also helps give hair a healthy shine and great softness. It is loaded with vitamins and healthy fatty acids to help lock in that moisture and is light enough to use daily on your tresses.
POPULAR OILS
Coconut Oil and Olive Oil are both great for pre pooing and mixing in with your favourite deep conditioner because of their moisturising properties. Coconut Oil is super moisturising and helps protect and nourish your hair strands easily penetrating the scalp helps with dryness. Olive Oil is a heavier oil yet super penetrating. As it is heavier, it is nourishing, soothing, gives softness and is great for thicker hair types.

Although we are seeing a change in the mainstream media with regards to celebrities, influencers and the general public challenging westernised beauty ideals, it is still hard to navigate content surrounding natural hair
Honestly tried a bunch of stuff, but nothing has worked for me as nicely as this stuff. I have 2b/3a curls, high porosity and it's very thin. If I scrunch this into my hair, my curls and volume come back, which I love. I did need to get used to the unique smell, it's not bad, just quite uncommon for a hair product (hibiscus).
Love the smell of the products, super light doesn't wear your hair down. Still figuring out how to keep the curl in my hair the whole day, but havent used these products for too long yet.
During lockdown I've taken the time to really try and find good products for my hair. The scent is quite interesting but to me it doesn't matter as it's more what it does than what it smells like.
And what it does do it define my different textured hair and also all I need to do it spritz with water for next day curls as Well!
Very good product xx
