We are so excited to celebrate this special occasion with you and share with you some of our key and biggest milestones to date, starting from the very beginning.
2017
With a passion to see hydrating, nourishing and conscious curl care products in the market, Flora & Curl was born in 2017. With the launch of our first 3 products, our multi-tasking Jasmine Oasis Hydrating Hair Mist, Flower Garden Hair Butter and African Citrus Bloom Superfruit Hair Oil were well received, and well on their way to receiving their first few awards the following year.
Things just kept getting better and better, and this was just the start!
2019
We launched our first ever Styling products. Our Sweet Hibiscus Curl Activating Lotion and Sweet Hibiscus Curl Defining Gel are the perfect styling duo. Along with our stylers, our hydrating duo was also launched. This included our Rose Water & Honey Cream Shampoo, and Rose Water & Honey Cream Conditioner.
2020
In 2020, our fabulous Founder and CEO, Rose Ovensehi graced the Forbes #30under30 list in the Retail & E-commerce category.
2021
Can you say VIRAL! We launched our viral and best-selling Sweet Hibiscus Curl Volumizing Foam and moisturising Sweet Hibiscus Twist & Braid Cream. We also expanded our Soothe Me range with 4 new additions. All formulated to support a healthier scalp, and target scalp issues.
We also reached an amazing retail milestone and launched a selection of our products in 24 of Superdrug’s top kinky, coily and curly stores across the UK. At present, we are now stocked in over 300 Superdrug stores.
2023
The year of 2023 has to be some of our biggest milestones yet!
Being stocked in the UK’s leading health & beauty retail store, we officially launched our best selling Style Me collection in 600 Boots stores across the country.
We are now stocked in 900 stores with a wide range of our Hydrate Me, Protect Me, Style Me and Soothe Me products.
Flora & Curl 2.0 had arrived! A more sustainable textured haircare brand making a massive change with our packaging and sustainability. We made the switch from plastic packaging to infinitely recyclable aluminium bottles, making our bottles 90% plastic-free, while our products are shipped with eco-friendly boxes. As a plant-powered brand, sustainability is very important to us and we are passionate about healthy hair and the difference we make to the planet. To support our rebrand, we were featured in many amazing titles such as Cosmetic Design Europe, Spell Magazine, Glamour and Beauty Independent.
2024
So far this year, we have been crowned Best Natural Textured Hair Range and won Best shampoo & conditioner for textured hair within our Hydrate Me range at the Hair Magazine Hair Awards.
Plus, our viral Sweet Hibiscus Curl Volumizing Foam is a finalist for Best Hair Care Icon at the Pure Beauty Global Awards.
We plan to launch new and exciting products in our range, so stay tuned!
