Love These products!

I have been using these products for a while now and I like them a lot. The hair butter is nice and soft, I just using on my tips. The hair mist is more versatile I think, I can use it to refresh my curls and to control my frizz from loose hair for example. I like the smell, lavender is the predominant scent I can notice from it.

Didn’t love everything, but liked being able to try

I absolutely love the hair oil. The hair mist is also good and especially useful for freshening up. I haven’t used the clay yet and did not like the shampoo or conditioner. Getting the discovery kit was worth it to try the products and figure out which ones work best for your hair.

How To Maintain Your Curls While Working Out

With the New Year well under way, many of you I'm sure have made a New Years Resolution to spend more time at the gym than sitting on the couch watching your favourite TV show.

Can you work out with curly hair? The answer is yes you can. The beauty of natural hair means our hair is very versatile. When we think of going to the gym, we automatically think of how long it took to achieve the perfect twist out, getting amazing curl definition and how to protect our hair while working up a sweat. But why should we limit ourselves just because our curly tresses may get in the way. There's no need to worry about sweating out your curls, just take a look at our work out methods and hairstyles.

The Updo

Keeping your hair out of your face and away from your neck is important as that is where we tend to sweat. Along with buns, a ponytail and putting your hair in to a pineapple, these are great protective styles for keeping your hair up and out of the way while working out. There are other protective styles you can try. You can also try cornrows, braids, feed in braids or twists as a low manipulation hairstyle.

Short Hair

Why work up a sweat and deal with your hair at the same time. If your rocking a cute twa or have short natural tresses, then fear not. Using a head band will help keep your curls out of your face and protect your hair from frizz.

Co - Wash

While working out, many naturals like to do a mid week co - wash to refresh their hair and scalp. Co - Washing is a conditioning based cleanser that can replace shampoo. It is a great way to wash and refresh your tresses through out the week without completely stripping the natural oils from your hair. Now not everyone likes using co washes, so you can always opt for a gentle cleansing shampoo. Along with a light wash and moisturising your curls, your hair will be refreshed until wash day.

The Refresh

No time for a quick co wash til wash day? Then why not try refreshing your curls. Try mixing a little our Rose & Honey Milk Leave-In Detangler, African Citrus Bloom Hair & Scalp Oil and some water in a spray bottle, and there you have it. The perfect combo for a curl refresh. Not only that, but our Jasmine Oasis Hydrating Hair Mist is also great for quickly refreshing and uplifting your curls straight after a work out.

Working out doesn't have to be stressful when your hair is concerned.

Naturally yours,
Kaisha
